Sport /PE

Sport und ich sind ein leidiges Thema. Immer wieder hörte ich von allen Seiten ich solle doch Sport machen, dann würde es mir besser gehen. Es galt als Allheilmittel. Natürlich hilft es auch gegen Depressionen. Aber mir wurde mal gesagt, dass es nicht so ratsam sei bei Depressionen mit Sport anzufangen, wenn man vorher sehr lange nichts getan hat. Das würde sich nämlich eher negativ auswirken, was ja keiner noch zusätzlich möchte. Daher hatte ich ein wenig Angst, als ich hier in der Klinik nach vielen, vielen Jahren wieder anfing mich sportlich zu betätigen. Natürlich ist das was ich mache sehr moderat, aber dennoch anstrengend für mich. Ich hatte noch nie ein „runners high“ und somit hat mir Sport auch einfach keinen Spaß gemacht. Ich habe auch die für mich richtige Sportart noch nicht entdeckt, obwohl ich im Studium einiges ausprobierte. Mein einer Exfreund war sehr sportlich, egal welche Sportart er ausprobierte, er war sofort gut darin. Das ärgerte und demotivierte mich eher. In meinem Auslandssemester auf Bali waren die Menschen dort auch alle gut gebaut und geformt und damals fing ich mit Seven an. Eine App bei welcher man nur 7 Minuten täglich trainiert und zwar rein mit dem Körpergewicht, also mit den klassischen Übungen. Jeweils 30 Sekunden und dann 10 Sekunden Pause. Das ist für mich schon wirklich super anstrengend. Leider zog ich es keine sieben Monate durch, aber immerhin und vor allem durch massiven Süßigkeiten-Verzicht, nahm ich relativ schnell 5 Kilo ab. Nun bin ich wieder auf einem Wohlfühlgewicht. Was ich aber nie hatte, ist ein durchtrainierter Körper.

Den strebe ich auch nicht an, aber ich werde nicht jünger und somit setze ich mir als ganz großes Ziel zum 30. Geburtstag einen fitten, definierten, schönen Körper zu haben. Klar möchte ich das dann auch beibehalten, denn die Schwerkraft wirkt im Alter immer stärker. Mein Bindegewebe ist von Natur aus schwach, ich habe Cellulitis, die wird hoffentlich besser, aber nie ganz weg gehen. So ist das eben, wir sind nicht alle gleich. Mein Bauch ist größer als meine Brüste, so what. Das war alles einmal modern und galt als schön. Mich aber selbst schön zu finden, muss ich erst noch lernen. Trotzdem kann ich mir meinen Körper ein wenig „schöner“ formen als er jetzt ist.

Ich möchte ein wenig meine schwachen Ärmchen trainieren, das Winkefleisch reduzieren, den Po wieder ein bisschen nach oben bringen, die Schenkel straffen, den Speckgürtel schmelzen. Das sind meine Ziele und ich habe schon ein bisschen angefangen. Ich bin fasziniert von vorher-nachher- Fotos und habe schon im Februar ein Vorherfoto gemacht, allerdings hat sich mein Körper seitdem nicht verändert. Daher nehme ich auch dieses Foto und freue mich auf ein Nachherfoto im September nächsten Jahres.

Was mache ich hier in der Klinik? Also zunächst gibt es hier einen Fitnessraum in welchem man von morgens bis nachmittags trainieren kann. Dort gibt es ein Laufband, Crosstrainer, Ergometer und einen Kletterstepper zum Aufwärmen. Dann noch ein paar Fitnessgeräte wie Bauchpressen, Beinpresse, Butterfly und so weiter, sechs Stück an der Zahl. Es gibt einen kleinen Spiegel und Hanteln, eine kleine Kletterwand und einen Boxsack. Es liegen dort auch Matten für Übungen aus. Der Raum ist an sich klein, aber es reicht für die Patienten hier und es läuft immer Radiomusik. Meistens fahre ich Fahrrad und mache dann ein paar Wiederholungen an den Geräten. Ich bin noch absolute Anfängerin. Desweiteren gibt es hier noch eine Sporthalle, wo alle möglichen Sportaktivitäten stattfinden. Momentan belege ich laut Therapie „achtsames Bewegen“, „Körpertraining“, „Frühsport“, „Rückenschule“, und „Nordic Walken“.  Alles moderat wie gesagt, aber immerhin. Yoga hätte ich mir noch gewünscht, ist aber erst noch im Entstehen, dafür gibt es Qui Gong, was ich im Studium schon doof fand. Muskelkater hatte ich schon öfter. Schritt für Schritt heißt die Devise. Irgendwann möchte ich das im Sommer noch ausbauen mit Wanderungen und einer weiteren richtigen Sportart. Mal sehen, was das richtige für mich ist.

Im Studium probierte ich mal Rudern aus, allerdings bekam ich dann eine Panikattacke auf dem Wasser, dass wir gleich ins eiskalte Wasser fallen würden, weil alle so geschaukelt haben. Ich war mal bouldern, aber dafür einfach zu schwach. Tischtennis habe ich in der Jugend mal gespielt, als einziges Mädchen. Später wollte ich mal Kickboxen und fand das auch ganz gut, aber dann kam mein Exfreund dazu und bevor wir uns totgeschlagen hätten, verlies ich den Kurs. Ich stehe auch aufs Tanzen, aber ohne Partner schwierig. Joggen ist gar nicht mein Ding und soll auch dumm machen durch die vielen kleinen Erschütterungen, naja, jedenfalls macht es nicht fit. Und da ich Nichtraucher bin, kann es einfach nicht sein, dass ich immer gleich so schnell außer Atem bin und mich so schwach fühle und fix und fertig bin, aber so sportlich aussehe. Ich bin dieser Laufklassiker, ich könnte die ersten 50 Meter Werbung für Nike machen und die nächsten 50 für Asthmaspray.

Von daher, welche Sportarten könnt ihr mir noch empfehlen? Was sollte ich unbedingt mal ausprobieren bevor ich 30 werde? Welche Motivation habt ihr für mich, mit dem Körpertraining, dem Definieren, weiter zu machen?

Ich bin super gespannt auf euren Input und werde euch regelmäßige Updates zu meinem aktuellen Fitnessstand geben. Ich habe allerdings keine Körperfettwaage oder so was zur Verfügung, kann aber sagen, dass ich 1,71 m groß bin und 60 KG wiege. Ich habe eine Raucherlunge, trotz dass ich nicht rauche und nie geraucht habe und schwitze sehr schnell, vor allem am Rücken. Das ist manchmal ziemlich peinlich, vor allem, wenn mich jemand umarmt. Tja, sorry!

Sport and I are a tiresome topic. Again and again I heard from all sides that I should do sports, then I would feel better. It was considered a panacea. Of course, it also helps against depression. But I was once told that it is not advisable to start sports with depression if you have not done anything for a very long time. That would have a negative effect, which nobody wants. Therefore, I was a little scared when I started to do sports here in the clinic after many, many years. Of course, what I do is very moderate, but nevertheless exhausting for me. I have never had a „runners high“ and so sport was just not fun for me. I have not yet discovered the right sport for me, although I tried a lot during my studies. My one ex-boyfriend was very athletic, no matter what sport he tried, he was good at it right away. That annoyed and demotivated me more. In my semester abroad in Bali, the people there were all in shape and then I started with Seven. An app in which you only 7 minutes daily trained and indeed purely with the body weight, so with the classic exercises. 30 seconds each and then 10 seconds rest. This is really exhausting for me. Unfortunately, I did not pull it out for seven months, but after all, and especially because of massive candy abandonment, I lost 5 kilos relatively quickly. Now I’m back on a feel-good weight. But what I never had is a well-shaped body.


I do not aspire to that either, but I’m not getting any younger and so I set myself as a big goal for my 30th birthday to have a fit, defined, beautiful body. Of course, I would like to keep that, because gravity affects more and more in old age. My connective tissue is naturally weak, I have cellulite, which will hopefully be better, but never completely gone. That’s the way it is, we are not all the same. My stomach is bigger than my breasts, so what. It was all modern and considered beautiful back in the days. I still have to learn how to find myself nice. Nevertheless, I can shape my body a little „nicer“ than it is now.
I would like to train a little my weak arms, reduce the „Winkefleisch“, bring the butt back up a bit, tighten the thighs, melt the bacon belt. These are my goals and I have already started a bit. I’m fascinated by before-and-after photos and did a pre-shoot in February, but my body has not changed since then. That’s why I’m taking this photo and looking forward to a follow-up photo in September next year.


What am I doing here in the clinic? So first there is a gym in which you can train from morning to afternoon. There is a treadmill, crosstrainer, ergometer and a climbing stepper to warm up. Then a couple of fitness equipment like abdominal press, leg press, butterfly and so on, six in number. There is a small mirror and dumbbells, a small climbing wall and a punching bag. There are also mats for exercises. The room itself is small, but it is enough for the patients here and there is always radio music. Most of the time I ride a bicycle and do a few repetitions of the equipment. I am still an absolute beginner. Furthermore, there is a sports hall, where all kinds of sports activities take place. At the moment, according to the therapy, I show „mindful movement“, „body training“, „morning exercise“, „back school“, and „Nordic walking“. Everything moderate as I said, but at least. I would have liked yoga, but is still in the making, there is Qui Gong, which I already found stupid in the study. I already had sore muscles often. The motto is step by step. At some point I would like to expand this summer with hiking and another real sport. Let’s see what’s right for me.

During my studies I tried out rowing, but then I got a panic attack on the water that we would fall into the ice-cold water, because all rocked like that. I used to boulder once, but I am just too weak. I played table tennis in my youth, as the only girl. Later I wanted kickboxing and I liked it a lot, but then my ex-boyfriend joined in and I left the course before we killed each other. I also love to dance, but difficult without a partner. Jogging is not my thing at all and should also make you stupid by the many small vibrations, well, at least it does not make you fit. And since I’m a non-smoker, it just can not be that I am always so quickly out of breath and feel so weak and I’m ready, but look so athletic. I’m this run classic, I could do the first 50 yards for Nike and the next 50 for Asthma.


So, which sports can you recommend to me? What should I try before I turn 30? What motivation do you have for me to continue with body training, defining?


I’m looking forward to your input and will give you regular updates on my current fitness level. However, I have no body fat scales or something available, but can say that I’m 1.71 m tall and weigh 60 KG. I have a smoker’s lung, despite the fact that I did not smoke and never smoked and sweat very fast, especially on my back. This is sometimes embarrassing, especially when someone hugs me.
